Forks of the Elkhorn

The North and South Forks of the Elkhorn come together in Frankfort, KY, at the aptly named Forks of the Elkhorn.

There [was] a marked public access point, with parking, along Hwy 460  near Scruggs Lane (see map below).  Access to the stream is across a  small field (no trail), and down into the creek bed. This is a decent  spot for putting in a kayak or canoe, if the water levels are high enough.
