Numerous small lakes, streams, and rivers lie across Northern Kentucky. As reports are collected, information will be posted here about those locations.
Near the town of Falmouth lies 183 acre Kincaid Lake. It has been several years since I fished there; I need to get back to check it out again. The last time I went was probably 2006–it was rumored then to be a great bass lake. I rented a jon boat and fished for about four hours, catching very little. When I was about 12, a friend of mine would go there with his dad. We went there then, and caught lots of crappie. That’s all I know from personal experience–I’ll try to update this as soon as I get back.
This page is here to give some directions and links to anyone who may want to check it out. I you fish Kincaid, please let us all know what came out of the trip in the comments below. We’ve gotten a lot of good information on various lakes and rivers from folks sharing their experiences.
Getting there: from Falmouth, cross the Licking from downtown, and head North on 159 about 3.5 miles, then right (east) on Kincaid Lake State Park Road. Follow signs to the marina.
